DI DIFENDERE IL MARE
La Casa dei Pesci è un’associazione formata da persone appassionate del mare e della natura, convinte dell’importanza di salvaguardare e conservare il nostro ecosistema per le future generazioni.
Attualmente contiamo circa 60 associati, che contribuiscono volontariamente agli scopi associativi secondo le loro capacità e disponibilità.
L’Associazione “Casa dei Pesci – ETS” nasce nel 2012 come Onlus con lo scopo di salvaguardare l’ambiente marino e promuovere il ripopolamento ittico, proseguendo gli interventi pubblici iniziati già nel 2007 dalla Provincia di Grosseto a difesa dei fondali marini della costa della Maremma. L’idea vincente è stata quella di affiancare agli elementi in cemento, i più ecologici blocchi di marmo donati dalle Cave Michelangelo di Carrara, che sono stati scolpiti volontariamente da noti artisti italiani e stranieri e sono stati posizionati in mare a salvaguardia della posidonia e rifugio della fauna ittica.
Dal 2015 al 2023 sono state collocate sui fondali 44 sculture, che hanno creato un vero e proprio museo sottomarino. Il progetto, partito da Talamone, vuole espandersi ad altre aree della costa della Maremma, in modo da diffondere, con nuove sculture, il messaggio sull’importanza dei fondali marini che la Casa dei Pesci vuole portare all’opinione pubblica, e da creare, con la posa di blocchi appositamente realizzati, nuove zone di ripopolamento ittico.

Emily Young works with stone that bears the marks and signs of it geological history. This piece of carving is called Young Guardian, or Bitter Guardian, as it carries my thoughts of the children of the future inheriting so much loss. The nobility of stone is inherent in the material itself, as a tiny piece of our magical mother planet, and can carry a powerful message for the future as well as serving a purpose here and now. This piece stands as an apology and a warning and a celebration of the planet.
