MEDFEST aims to exceed the concept of traditional “fair” and evolve into a strategic B2B platform, capable to attract investments, foster powerful synergies, and generate commercial opportunities for international companies, institutions, and economic operators.

The goal is to create an innovative event that serves as a benchmark for the Mediterranean, highlighting its biodiversity and fostering collaboration between business, renewable energies, sustainable tourism, and agri-food sectors. This collaborative model will be replicated globally, generating tangible benefits for the host country in terms of media exposure, economic growth, and tourism development.

MEDITERRANEAN,
CRADLE OF BIODIVERSITY.
PROMOTE THE SUSTAINABLE USE
OF MARINE AND TERRESTRIAL ECOSYSTEMS

MED FEST aims to promote the sustainable management of the Mediterranean’s biodiversity, which plays a crucial role in the functioning of all ecosystems in the countries surrounding it and is the basis of life, directly impacting the well-being of the community and the individual.

Biological variety in all its forms, from microbes to plants and animals, up to the human species with its cultural diversity, exists in the Mediterranean, and particularly in Italy. An even more valuable heritage, since one of the most significant biological diversity in all of Europe is concentrated in our country,
with 60,000 animal species, 10,000 vascular plants and more than 130 ecosystems.

The biodiversity of the Mediterranean represents, depending on the taxonomic groups, from 4 to 25% of the global marine species diversity.
