Med Fest – Sardinia – Cagliari
MED FEST aims to promote the sustainable management of the Mediterranean’s biodiversity, which plays a crucial role in the functioning of all ecosystems in the countries surrounding it and is the basis of life, directly impacting the well-being of the community and the individual.
Biological variety in all its forms, from microbes to plants and animals, up to the human species with its cultural diversity, exists in the Mediterranean, and particularly in Italy. An even more valuable heritage, since one of the most significant biological diversity in all of Europe is concentrated in our country,
with 60,000 animal species, 10,000 vascular plants and more than 130 ecosystems.
The biodiversity of the Mediterranean represents, depending on the taxonomic groups, from 4 to 25% of the global marine species diversity.
MED FEST is a unique event of insights geared toward “smart, sustainable and inclusive growth” aimed at enhancing all that the area has most to offer.
