SHARKS
Over half of the 86 shark and ray species in the Mediterranean Sea are threatened with extinction, primarily due to accidental capture in fishing gear.
This alarming decline poses a significant threat to the marine ecosystem, as these animals play vital roles in maintaining its delicate balance. Predators like sharks regulate the food web, while rays help transport nutrients and energy, crucial processes for a healthy ocean.
The exhibition will be open from the morning for school visits. Students will be able to discover the history of the Sharks, while the facility will be transformed into an atmospheric night-time venue during concerts and entertainment events, providing excitement and culture for the entire audience.
