The educational contest aims to generate in young people a sense of awareness and responsibility; but above all it train them on Sustainable Tourism through study and hands-on experience.
Young people represent the future and they are the heirs of our legacy.
Young people pick up the baton of a complex ecosystem and a unique socio-cultural heritage: the Mediterranean.
From these foundations, young people forge their identities.
EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING PROJECT
During the training, students will address how tourism can be developed in a responsible manner, ensuring the preservation of the natural and cultural resources of the regions involved.
Regions involved.
Students will be promoters of ideas and will be able to present innovative projects for sustainable tourism initiatives, capable of enhancing the territory without compromising its integrity.
A modern, dynamic and engaging vision will make the proposals even more attractive.

The project aligns with the 33-hour orientation program in secondary schools
FOR TEACHERS
The project is published on the S.O.F.I.A. platform of the M.I.M. and is valid as a professional updating program
“Civic education is introduced as a teaching in 2019 and aims to train responsible and active citizens by promoting full and conscious participation in the civic, cultural and social life of communities, respecting the rules, rights and duties».

Each class receives a free educational kit
The kit helps the teacher both in the educational process and in writing the story report


Each class can request a visit to a CNR/IAS site to learn more about the importance of environmental protection
It can also request specific visits to tourist sites selected by the Ministry of Tourism


Once the reports are completed, the class submits its MED STORY to the project secretariat for review and evaluation
The 5 selected classes, 1 per region, will attend to the Med Young 2025

A MAJOR EVENT
WORLD TOURISM DAY
The first major event on Sustainable Tourism for an open debate between the Ministry of Tuorism and Mediterranean youth.
Biodiversity takes center stage, with discussions focused on safeguarding ecosystems and fostering community-led resource management.
This event goes beyond awareness, actively fostering collaborative networks between institutions and youth.
By positioning sustainable tourism as a cornerstone of economic and social progress in Mediterranean region.
